New year, new members?

As the academic year 2019-2020 has started our local committees went looking for new members. #IAASLLN, IAAS Louvain-la-Neuve held an #openmeeting on the 23rd of September. People came for the fries and people stayed because Ann (the LD) and some alumni of LLN gave an amazing presentation. They've got about 30 new members of which 10 active! To get to know each other more informally LLN then had a #teambuilding on September 30th. Going bowling is a nice way to get to know each other (and how competitive a person is ;) ).

#IAASGent's academic year started a week later so on the 30th of September they had their open meeting. Same concept, fries and presentation. About 12 new members signed up and some are already very active. On the 10th of October they went ice skating as a teambuilding because nothing says getting to know a person like seeing them falling on ice. #auwch

#IAASLeuven held their open meeting on October 16th. Here's Lauren account of that meeting: On wednesday the 16th of October the meeting from IAAS Leuven was a little different than normally. We organised an Open Meeting where people from outside IAAS with interest for our organization could come eat delicious Belgian fries (and carrots) and have a nice evening with the experienced members. The “meeting” ended up to be super cosy where the old members informed the potential new ones about the ruling of IAAS and also had fun chitchat conversations. In the end we gained two new members of our little familIAAS :D

We're very excited about all the new members joining and look forward to the new year because #GoFurtherGoIAAS
