This years general assembly weekend took place in Louvain-la-Neuve from the 6th till the 8th of July. This is where our newest committee is stationed! Holding our GA there was a good way to get to know their city and committee a bit better.
On friday we arrived and held a barbecue together during the Belgium-Brazil world-cup match. This was an amazing way to bond as a group since we were all cheering for the same team! Later on we checked out the city itself and relaxed a bit on the 'beach bar'.
On Saturday we held our meeting itself and chose the new national board. The National Director ND of the term 2018-2019 is Celine Callewaert from Ghent. The National Treasurer NT of the term 2018-2019 is Jonathan Rixhon from Leuven.
The National Exchange Coordinator NExCo of the term 2018-2019 is Nastya Bondarenko from Ghent. Congratulations to the new board and good luck! Other topics of the general assembly include:

We closed of the day with a very nice walk in the woods.
On Sunday we visited the 'Baraques' community in Louvain-la-Neuve. A very interesting community who just started building on a plot of land and have their own rules and structure. They learn to live of the land and in close contact to nature. Because of all of this they are very eco minded and have a huge community garden. What an interesting visit to close of a very good weekend!
