This years world congress WOCO took place in Croatia from the 13th of July till the 31st and was all about how Croatia is a country filled with water. The world congress is a mixture of work and fun. General assembly
We elect the new executive board, decide on the compensation for the previous board and evaluate them, we elect the hosting committees of the next events, we change the constitution and by-laws, approve new committees, ...
Workshops & Soft-skills
Through these soft-skill trainings we learn valuable skills we can use for IAAS and it's projects and events but also in our daily life and later professional life.
Activities
We have cultural visits to cities and historic sites whilst also visiting farms, companies, institutions,... regarding to the topic or IAAS's interests.
On this Woco we had city visits to Zadar, Zagreb, Split, Sibenik, Lovran where a guide showed us around. We visited a medieval theme park and played with some swords and catapults, drank some donkey milk on a donkey farm, saw an immortelle field, a vineyard (+ tasting of course), a fig and olive orchard (+ tasting of course), visited a brewery, went hiking and swimming in 2 natural parks, saw a salt production, …
We also swam almost every day and chilled on one of the many beaches in Croatia, partied in a city garden and just had an amazing time overall. Let’s also not forget our IAAS traditions: the Trade Fair night where each and every country presents themselves through food and drinks and the Development Fund night where we had a crazy auction and got almost 2000 euros for the fund. A once in a lifetime experience!
