On the occasion of World Food Day 2018, the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and the European commission together with FOOD2030 organised an event in the European Parliament in Brussels and IAAS was there to check it out. We started with a fancy networking lunch (yay free food!!) followed by all kinds of talks. Some very cool people, professors and researchers talked about their projects to eradicate hunger by 2030, the problems we’re still facing and actions we can take in the future. Overall, it was an interesting event and a perfect example of the more intellectual opportunities we get through IAAS.
